With seven, three hour meetings and some practice at home you will BECOME a BRILLIANT ACTOR AND PUBLIC SPEAKER. In fact, at the seventh meeting you will play a part in the comedy "SOUNDBITES OF SPEECHES" in front of a real audience, which is a practical and stimulating experience. This FUN AND INNOVATIVE METHOD, is for a group of seven people. The comedy which is composed of two acts was written by Vittorio Galgano and is for eight characters (the author/instructor included). The dynamics which develop among the characters, interesting and unexpected human situations and the cultural input of the speeches, are a good training opportunity for the participants as well as for the audience. This comedy can be performed by participants from an individual company or from different companies. If it is performed by participants working at the same company, it encourages integration, group spirit, a sense of belonging and an open positive attitude towards training. The audience can be made up of the company’s staff and customers invited to the representation. The comedy characters are: 1. Sandro Falchetti – a very wealthy entrepreneur, who has made it. He is participating in the course because he has decided to go into politics. He is uneducated, supercilious and aggressive. Ilario Ruggeri and Guido Forti have gone off him. They dog him with sarcastic remarks. 2. Ilario Ruggeri – the son of a clothing company chairman. He has no desire to work at all and partecipates in many seminars to keep away from his father and his work. He is an easy-going guy but he often has a sarcastic and irritating attitude above all towards Falchetti. 3. Guido Forti – a journalist, has a strong, aggressive personality. When he started his career he worked for a man whose attitude was similar to Falchetti’s. Therefore, he strongly dislikes the entrepreneur and a row breaks out between the two of them. 4. Sara Grimaldi – a beautiful young lawyer. She registered for the seminar because speaking in public is very important for her profession. There is an immediate attraction between her and Giulio Silvestri, the character that follows. Falchetti is jealous of their relationship. 5. Giulio Silvestri – assistant to Sandro Falchetti, is a young guy, educated, shy and mild mannered. He is continously mistreated by his boss. Falchetti took him to the seminar to increase his own prestige. At the end of the seminar Giulio reacts to the entrepreneur’s harrassment with the support of Sara’s love. 6. Priest Vito Sacchi – Parish in Fortunella. The priest runs a home for orphans and hopes that by delivering more effective sermons he can gain larger donations. In the comedy he represents the most noble and spiritual part of man and at the end of the comedy he will give a lesson in the art of oratory. 7. Franco Rosmini – he has just started his career in a large company as HR manager. He is very shy and wants to overcome his fear of the public. Because of his new responsabilities, he must be involved in all the company’s conferences and meetings. It is with him that Raniero Sesti shows his capabilities by transforming him from a shy and introverted man to a strong communicator. At the end of the seminar Franco will deliver a speech on how to lead and motivate staff members. His theories are the opposite of Falchetti’s, and Falchetti will attack them violently. 8. Raniero Sesti – istructor of the seminar, is famous for the effectiveness of his training methods. The dynamics between the characters, the hilarious conflictual and dramatic situations and the cultural input of the characters speeches, make SOUNDBITES OF SPEECHES a fascinating show.
